The first races given the title of British Grand Prix were run at the Brooklands circuit in 1926 and 1927. Louis Wagner and Robert Senechal won the first event, driving a Delage 155B.

il aurait travaillé avec Pierre Delage à Tanger, puis a couru en
tourisme sur D8, a fait des raids promotionnels, a remporté en 1926 le
Grand Prix de GB avec Wagner sur 1500 8 cylindres, a racheté une 1500
championne du monde après la saison 1927, a couru avec cette voituer
plusieurs Grands Prix ACF
