A 1925 ad from Le Zèbre Motors. It’s possible that this firm might have been a sub-dealer from Sloman in SA. This car was owned by Doris Pritchard of Kew, whose father was General Manager of a large department store - emporium - in Prahran. Most likely a fully imported car with the Ricardo-designed body by Derault et Jonjen, Paris.
The single-fronted shop at 451 Elizabeth Street now houses Peter Pans Travel Services. The sister shop next door at 449 used house T W Sands, the go-to firm for everything to do with kerosene- & spirit-fuelled lamps, stoves etc. like Coleman.
