History:

No information prior to 1984, other than it may have come to Jersey from Guernsey.

2285223 was in Jersey/Guernsey before 1984 that is probably the reason that the UK log book only starts when it was “imported” back into the UK. Michael Hibbs had the car from 1988 to 1993, then it apparently went into storage until 2003 when, on the death of M. Hibbs, it passed to his brother Andrew. Nothing was done to it until 2009, when it went to Jacks Sports Ltd, Taunton, who began working on it for Andrew. Basically, on the cheap, this involved a re-spray in white and an engine recon. Jacks were subsequently told to stop all work and take the lot to Finleys Of Taunton (car dealers) to be sold as is, in bits in 2012. In 2013 John Radford bought it for £24k.

It was in a poor state in 2013 when John brought it and started a meticulous restoration including modifications. I cannot remember if he used an original color so I cannot vouch that it looks “original”.
