Bugatti built the most successful pre-war Grand Prix cars, the Type 51 was the most successful line of Bugatti Grand Prix cars.
This car was a 1931 factory race car, driven by Louis Chiron. It won the 1931 Monaco Grand Prix and was gifted to Louis Chiron at the end of the successful 1931 season.
This car has had a continuous racing history, having been raced by every owner since it was built.

Although seventy years old, this car is quicker than a modern Porsche 911 Turbo. The engine is a 2,300cc twin cam, supercharged straight eight running on methanol and producing 235 bhp. Top speed is 144 mph, standing quarter mile is in the low 12 second range.
