Andre Morel was placed 2nd overall and won the 1100cc Class. Maurice Mestivier his mechanic in tweed cap. This view of the 6 cyl Amilcar shows the extra bodywork side panels below elbow level fitted especially for this race. Perhaps some minimal bodywork width was incorporated in the regulations as mechanics were no longer required to ride in the cockpit?
